Poultry treats are an excellent source of high-quality protein, which is essential for your dog's muscle development and overall health. They are easily digestible and a preferred choice for dogs with a sensitive stomach. They also contain important vitamins and minerals that support the immune system and promote overall well-being. Popular poultry treats are made from liver, necks, claws, or stomachs.
To preserve the freshness and quality of the snacks, they should be stored in an airtight container and in a cool, dry place. Opened packages should ideally be used within a few weeks to ensure the best taste and highest nutrient density.
Our poultry treats are generally suitable for dogs of all ages and breeds. They are particularly good for dogs that are sensitive to other protein sources or need a varied diet. For specific health concerns, consult with your trusted veterinarian.
Our poultry treats come from:
Chicken and Turkey have a mild to strong, slightly sweet taste and are therefore very popular. Both are considered easily digestible and are well-suited for bland diets, dietary needs, loss of appetite, and stressed stomachs. They are rich in protein and contain low fat (about 5 percent). Additionally, they are good sources of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which keep the skin and coat healthy, and are rich in B-vitamins, which are important for the nervous system. The lighter meat contains more potassium and phosphorus, while the darker meat is rich in zinc. Zinc is needed for the hormonal and immune system as well as for the production of stomach acid.
Chicken liver tastes very mild compared to, for example, beef liver. It is an important source of Omega-3, proteins, zinc, iron, choline, vitamin A, C, B-vitamins, folic acid, D, and K2. Chicken hearts are low in calories and rich in protein, B-vitamins, iron, copper, and zinc. The latter is needed for wound healing, cell growth, and blood sugar management. Chicken hearts have a strong and sweet taste due to the dark muscle meat, but do not taste like organs.
Vitamin A strengthens the nervous system and promotes digestion. It is also particularly important for the eyes, skin, coat, and bones of your dog. B-vitamins serve, among other things, for cell formation and energy production. Vitamin C protects against cell damage, influences wound healing, and is involved in many metabolic reactions, such as the formation of connective tissue, bones, cartilage, and gums. Vitamin D is responsible for the formation of bones and muscles. It also promotes overall well-being and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin K2 is essential for your pet’s bone density, sleep, and well-being.
Duck and Goose offer a good alternative to other poultry types. They have a stronger and more intense flavor compared to chicken and turkey. Generally, they are also considered easily digestible but can cause nausea due to their high fat content. However, particularly active dogs who need more energy benefit from a portion of duck or goose. Duck meat is rich in minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus and contains B-vitamins. Goose has twice the fat content of duck, making it even more aromatic. Goose meat contains a lot of iron and vitamin B2, which is good for the metabolism.
